9. International processing

Some of the service providers we use, including SureCart and Stripe, may process personal information outside the United Kingdom.

SureCart states that its principal overseas processing locations include the United States and India. Where information is transferred internationally, recognised safeguards required by UK data-protection law are used, such as adequacy regulations or approved contractual protections.

Further information is available in the privacy policies of the relevant providers.

We retain personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed.

Our usual retention periods are:

  • Unsuccessful enquiries: up to 12 months after the last contact.

  • Customer accounts: while the account or customer relationship remains active, followed by the period needed for accounting, contractual and legal purposes.
  • Order, subscription, licence and transaction records: up to seven years after the relevant transaction or customer relationship ends.
  • Security and technical records: for the period reasonably required to maintain security, investigate problems and operate rotating backups.
  • Legal disputes or regulatory matters: until the matter and any applicable legal time limits have ended.

Information may be deleted or anonymised when it is no longer required. Limited information may remain temporarily in secure backups until those backups are overwritten.

We may retain information for longer where this is required by law, an HMRC enquiry, a payment dispute or an active legal claim.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including:

  • Encrypted HTTPS connections.
  • Restricted administrator access.
  • Secure payment processing through Stripe.
  • Security monitoring and software updates.
  • Authentication and access controls.
  • Hosting backups and protective systems.

No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we take proportionate steps to reduce the risk of loss, misuse, alteration or unauthorised access.

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of your personal information.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.

Lamuvor products are intended for adults and business users. We do not knowingly sell to or collect personal information directly from children.

16. Changes to this policy
